Morphing CombinedLightGUI

I have 2 questions. The first isn't show stopping but the 2nd is.
If I attempt to change the background.png in the Morphix directory, when =

I run the new iso booting goes as far as starting to load the WM then =

reverts back to the start of the boot process. However if I put the new =

background.png into the Copy directory everything works fine. Is there =

anything particular about the Morphix directory or the png image that =

goes in there. As I said this isn't show stopping rather aimed at =

increasing my knowledge of how Morphix works.
My second question is more serious. How do I get Morpix to recognise =

CD's? I can't get the programme to load either a music or data cd. I =

want to have a repository on CD. I've tried loading it with Synaptic and =

using "apt-cdrom add=A8 without any success. Any ideas where the problem =

might lay?
