Hi all,

and first of all : GOOD JOB !!!
Wouaohh ! Morphix is a very very interesting distro.

I'm using Morphix and remaster Morphix since October 2003, so my questions are
not very "newbs" questions... But I don't use Debian so I don't have lot of
apt-get reflexs ;))

If you want to know Why I remaster Morphix : http://www.lin4astro.org (1.3
release is a Knoppix 3.3 remasterisation, Dev version is under morphix
Light-GUI)

So my remasterisation is at astronomical purpose. So I need some astronomical
softs  :)

- -> Kstars (from KDE 3.2)
- -> Celestia
- -> Stellarium

and others I compile (not debian available) : Audela, Qastrocam

But I also need pwc driver (OK) and decompression module : pwcx.o

I use Light-GUI (1minute 20s to launch on a PIII 500 !! coooool... compare
with 5 minutes under KNoppix...)

And I put "rox" to have a desktop with icons (rox --pinboard=astro)

Questions :
1) In order to rox start at xfce beginning, the only thing I've found to do
this is to add on
/etc/gdm/Sessions/Xfce4

/usr/bin/xfce-mcs-manager
/usr/bin/xfwm4 --daemon
/usr/bin/xftaskbar4 &
/usr/bin/xfdesktop &
/usr/bin/rox --pinboard=astro &
exec /usr/bin/xfce4-panel

This solution works... only when I reboot from Mandrake... (:O ???? )
Someone have another solution ?

2) How can I install cloop 2 to use Pheibos base module ( I've appreciate the
use of Mars satellites ;) Which will the next ? Titan ? )

3) Hotplug doesn't work when I plug my webcam (philipps, suported by PWC
driver). Any Idea ?

4) As Hotplug don't work, I want to load Pwc modules (and his little brother
pwcx.o) at boot ... In which /etc/modules can to put it ? (base or mainmod ?)

5) Alex or another developper : Did you manage to put captive with last
Knoppix release (3.4 Cebit ?)  (may be it's for morphix 0.5 ? ;)  )

6) It's enough for today ;)

If you have answers to this very little issues, I would be very insterested
in... As is I could put dev release of Lin4astro in a "official" release ;)

Clear skies,

and another time : Good job.
