Thank you for the quick response! I've tried OUTPUT now, and I no longer get the error... ...however, I don't get the results I hoped to obtain either. I would like *ALL* frames from my wireless IF to be broadcast. I thought the rule I added would do that, but it seems not to have worked. Can anyone see anything obvious that I am doing wrong? for reference: ebtables -t nat -A OUTPUT -o wlan0 -j dnat --to-destination ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff --dnat-target ACCEPT On Wed, 2005-21-12 at 16:54 +0200, Alexander Piavka wrote: > dnat can't be used in POSTROUTING > if you want to dnat use it in PREROUTING,OUTPUT,BROUTING > and snat in POSTROUTING > > On Wed, 21 Dec 2005, Ben Zarboni wrote: > > > Hi all; > > > > I've been trying to use the following command: > > > > "ebtables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -o wlan0 -j dnat --to-destination > > ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff --dnat-target ACCEPT" > > > > and getting the following: > > > > "The kernel doesn't support a certain ebtables extension, consider > > recompiling your kernel or insmod the extension." > > > > Now, I'm not sure which extension is not supported, but the one I > > suppose it is (ebt_dnat) seems to be loaded properly... > > > > Being rather new, what do I do? > > > > -- Ben Zarboni Software Developer IP Unwired Inc. 30 Edgewater Drive, Suite 104 Ottawa, Ontario K2L 1V8 E-Mail: ben.zarboni-pIZx7aCcX2r2eFz/[email protected] Telephone: (613) 254-9845, ext. 226 Fax: (613) 254-9850 The information contained in this e-mail message is PRIVATE.
