Help compiling user space ebtables

Hi friends

I'm adding ebtables to a mini distro based on kernel 2.4.32.
I've download the kernel patch ebtables-brnf-11-2_vs_2.4.31.diff and the user 
space ebtables-v2.0.8-rc1.tar.gz

Everything was fine with kernel patch.

Then I compiled the user space program. It produced a ebtables and a libebtc.so.

Is there any way to produce a static binary?
