Hi list,
I'm new to ebtables and bridging at all so please be patience.
I have to implement a scenario and I would like to know if this is possible with ebtables:
I have a network of client computers. There is also a file server located in the same network.
-------------------------------------------------- 192.168.0.0/24
| | | |
Client A Client B ... file server
To increase the security of my server I want to use a bridging firewall between clients and this server like this:
|
-------------------------------|------------------ 192.168.0.0/24
| | | | |
Client A Client B ... | file server
Firewall
This firewall sould do bridging between the clients and the server AND control the access to the server, which should be src-ip/port, dst-ip/port based (iptables?).
Is this scenario possible with ebtables?
Thanks for your comments!
Kind regards,
Thomas
