Configure ebTables from a process

Hi.

I'm involved an embedded software development using linux. A part of my job is 
to develop a brigde between an ethernet device and a radio device. I'd like to 
know if it is possible to configure ebTables within a process. All I've found 
for the moment uses only scripts or command lines. Is there any way to 
configure ebTables from an application source code?
