In a mail correspondence with Patrick McHardy we decided it would be 
convenient if ebtables questions were sent to the netfilter mailing 
lists. The long-term plan is to incorporate ebtables in netfilter. 
Kernel maintenance of ebtables is already in the hands of the netfilter 
crew. I'm not actively involved anymore in any ebtables development and 
I don't closely watch the kernel developments.
