Greetings, I just downloaded and build the ngpt-2.2.0 package. I'm running Mandrake 9.0 with a 2.4.20 kernel. I did patch the kernel with patch-futex-2.4.19-2.0.3-2. All the i386 bit applied cleanly. It barked a bit about ppc and other platforms but????? Anyway, anything compiled against the new libraries aborts with something like this.... pth_sync.c:96: 2650:2650 __pth_initialize_shared(): cannot open shared area: No such file or directory pth_init: opening/mapping shared memory failed.... Aborted (I'm beginning to hate Linux almost as much as I hate WinDoze. Wish my SPARC hadn't died! A sensible thread model like NGPT would help a lot!) Many thanks! -- Microsoft is NOT the answer.
