Apache by default does not build using LinuxThreads (because of bugs and
other problems).  In order for you to get a version of Apache that uses
LinuxThreads or NGPT you need to re-compile.  This has nothing to do with
NGPT versus LinuxThreads.

This is correct with one caveat.  ABI compatibility exists where it will
not break POSIX.  The overall goals of the project was to bring full POSIX
compatibility to Linux.  In virtually all case we've been able to protect
POSIX while doing ABI.  However, there are applications (notoriously, our
own IBM JVM) that added workarounds to get around problems in LinuxThreads
and these workarounds prevent the app from running on NGPT...
