Now I remember why I didn't test it before.  When I run configure I get:

checking in lib for Qt library name... failed
./configure: line 18809: syntax error near unexpected token `QT,'
./configure: line 18809: `	PKG_CHECK_MODULES(QT, Qt3Support QtGui QtCore ,,'

Does this really need qt?  Um, just checked in a chroot with libqt4-dev
installed and I still get the same error.
