Regenerating the events list for a processor often results in lots of non-functional changes (e.g., grammatical fixes in description text) that make it difficult to visually inspect and validate a patch.  If there was a way you could add the PEBS flags with minimal perturbation to existing events list, then, yes, I'd be willing to accept a small-ish patch.  Test results using the oprofile testsuite would also be a helpful indicator for the correctness of the patch.
