Hi,

Sometimes the event name might vary from the documentation. You can look at the output of ophelp to see what processor micro-architecture oprofile thinks the machine is and get a list of the events that oprofile supports.

Keep in mind that the events are very processor implementation specific. Some events are not supported in all implmentations. Table 19-17. Non-Architectural Performance Events In the Processor Core for Intel® CoreTM i7 Processor and Intel® Xeon® Processor 5500 Series in Intel® 64 and IA-32 Architectures Software Developer’s Manual Volume 3 (3A, 3B, 3C & 3D): System Programming Guide (http://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/manuals/64-ia-32-architectures-software-developer-system-programming-manual-325384.pdf) does not seem to have those events listed. Where did you see those event names?
