Bad CIS tuple

Hi,

I'm trying to connect a Ricochet PCMCIA wireless modem to a Sharp Zaurus
SL-C760, via a CF->PCMCIA passive adapter.

Unfortunately, while my PCMCIA wi-fi cards work fine, the Ricochet modem
is not recognized properly. Symptoms are:

  serial_cs: ParseTuple: Bad CIS tuple

  serial_cs: ParseTuple: Bad CIS tuple
  ttys03 at port 0xf60002f8 (irq = 39) is a 16550A

What's puzzling is that even though Linux has trouble recognizing the
card, it still assigns a tty to it. This is correct, because this is
effectively a serial card (a modem).

I have tested and verified that:

  1) The ricochet modem works fine plugged into a PCMCIA slot on a
     laptop.
  2) The ricochet modem works fine plugged into a CF slot on a laptop,
     via the same CF->PCMCIA adapter.
  3) At first I thought this could be a voltage problem, but a D-Link
     DWL-650H (16-bit, 5V) works just fine in the same setup.

Could it be a current problem, with the CF slot on the Zaurus not
providing enough current to run the Ricochet modem?

Any other suggestions? Anything I could try?
