Installing pcmcia-cs-3.2.5 on vanilla kernel 2.4.22

Hi,

I try to install the pcmcia-cs-3.2.5 on my kernel
2.4.22 and when I run the "make config" and enter the
path of my kernel "/usr/src/linux-2.4.22 a message
says

The kernel source tree is version 2.4.22.
  WARNING: the current kernel is version 2.4.20-9.
The current kernel build date is Wed Apr 2 13:42:50
2003

What shall I do? Is there a patch in order be able to
use  the pcmcia-cs on my kernel 2.4.22?
