skey support in 4.0.8

Hi,

I've just seen that in latest version 4.0.8 skey support has been removed,
from the Changelog:

- remove not working OPIE and SKEY support,

exactly what is 'not working'? I've been using skey + shadow for a long time
without any problems at all.
