I'm not shure why but it is fact: in KDE to many times was included 
something without deeper thinking. Latest example: in current arts is 
included gsl (all ~1.6GB source tree in flow/gsl and arts is linked with 
~1MB static gsl code) .. probably only because someone don't know how to 
write (?) C++ binding interface for plain C library.
