Apply this patch directly on top of 2.6.5 kernel
Make sure cross toolchain is in path
make iqXXXXX_config
make zImage
Summary of Changes:
- DMA driver update
o copy*user support now functioning (David Griego)
o Disabling handling of vmalloc'd mem (Me)
- Fixed IQ31244 RTC /proc display (Vinesh Christopher)
- Latest XScale/ARM OProfile updates (Zwane Mwaikambo)
Notes:
- DMA driver needs testing. Please forward any bugs/issues to me.=20
- kernel memcpy and copy*user performance increase siginificantly on=20
IOP321 with DMA. Has some benefits on 500Mhz IOP331, but not
recommended for faster IOP331.=20
- TCP TSO is disabled by default in e1000 driver for 2.6.5. Driver notes
hang issue using TSO with non-IA32 arch. Have not noticed the issue on
XScale. To enable use ethtool: ethtool -K eth0 tso on
Observed significant performance increase in TCP transmit with tso on.
- OProfile has been tested on IQ80331 and works well. Need to test on=20
IOP321 platform. =20
