Once again, this topic probably doesn't belong here, but...

The linux kernel is exhibiting correct behavior, if only because accepting
DNS replies from a different IP address would open the door to all sorts of
DNS attacks, where a third party computer could sniff for DNS requests and
send erroneous replies, possibly for use in phishing or other attacks. The
client can only accept DNS replies from the address the request was sent to,
or the process becomes insecure and exploitable.
