gc-linux questions

Hi, I've managed to create a 2.6.15 kernel and I was wondering if anyone
could point me in the right direction to make it boot via nbd. Another
thing, why is it that when I use mplayer on gc-linux it doesn't show the
output in fullscreen (black bar at bottom) but on the mfe 1.1 disc
everything is fullscreen and the quality is excellent. Would it be hard to
create an mfe disc that you could configure things like an ip for the
gamecube and a share to mount via smb, that way you can browse straight to
the files you want to play. Thanks
