MOL complains after running startmol -X

I get a message stating that it needs the MOL kernel to run (startmol -X).
However YDL 4.1 yum list *mol lists both the mol-kmods.ppc and mol.ppc are
installed. I ran molvconfig and it went without incident. What do I need to
do to get it to run OS X 10.4.5? Is it related to the fact that OS X resides
on a different hard drive (hda12)? YDL 4.1 is installed on hdb....
