Indeed, I haven't been active for a couple months, and I don't know the most up to date status, but I believe the 6x0 series compiles fine, the 680 boots no problem, the 690 has 32MB issues, and 620 has interupt issues. > b) I assume at least a couple of people have active toolchains, but why > haven't they continued the automated test builds and the updating of the > toolchain? I'm not 100% what you are asking, but the toolchains are finicky, I believe someone had trouble with uclibc, but the kernel compiles fine. I use crosstool, (http://www.kegel.com/crosstool/) and for cross compiling the kernel, it works fine. > c) I expect to get stuck very quickly, what is the right forum to ask for > help, and is it likely to get any? For the most part, if you have access to IRC, hop on over to irc.freenode.net and join #jornada. There are couple of guys working on a distribution for 6x0s and they can usually answer questions, I'm am sometimes there too. We can answer most questions if you speak slowly. ;-) ~Ben -- /"\ Ben Jackson \ / bbj <at> innismir.net - http://www.innismir.net/ X Member of the ASCII Ribbon Campaign Against HTML Mail / \
