There's a problem with the menuconfig system, and possibly the old line-by-line system as well, involving the submenu for selecting charater device drivers. Steps to reproduce: 1. make menuconfig 2. Device drivers --> 3. Charater device drivers --> Reproducible: Always I changed the menu heading name to reflect this, and committed back to CVS.
