Well, AFAIK stability means stability as in "booting linux reliably each time you try, on whatever xbox, with whatever dashboard/kernel there is" here rather than stability as in "xbox does run linux without crashing once it has booted" (I am no exploit programmer, though, mind you). That said, it stopped working on my crystal xbox after one of various xbox live updates. And no, I am reasonably sure there haven't been any changes to splinter cell there.
