There are two things which call xbox kernel APIs - xbeboot and the code in xromwell. They dont really interact TOO heavily, other than loading a few files off disk, and doing some memory mapping. Then, the xbox kernel is exited, and Linux takes over. Beyond that bit, there is no interaction between Linux and the xbox 'OS'. Feel free to have a read of xbeboot and xromwell (though they might not help you that much) and see if they are of help.
