nv driver for X does not report DisplaySize correctly

Trying to get my 1.5 (focus) Xbox to display properly
on my 16:9 projector (Sanyo PLV-Z1).

I'm currently using Xebian 1.0.3 with a soft-mod. I'm
driving the projector using an RGB-Scart lead but I
could use VGA or component if either would work.

In an ideal world I'd have a 960x540 video mode and
avoid aliasing, etc. In the meantime I'm using
800x600.

I like Xine for DVD playback, since the DVD menus
work. The only way to get xine to get the aspect ratio
right with 800x600 in "full" mode is to get the
X-windows "DisplaySize" parameter to report a 16:9
ratio. But the XBOX nv driver reports a 4:3 pair of
numbers, even when the parameter is set in
XF86Config-4.

I notice in the code that the DCC call is disabled for
XBOX - is this where the problem happens?

Can I re-enable this call? Is there a HOWTO for
re-compiling the X driver? (can I just drop it into a
4.3 source tree and build?)

Any help is appreciated.

Julian
