I had a quick look at it, but being someone who runs my xboxes native, I lack both the time and the determination to get it working ;) I suspect locking is one issue - for preemptibleness etc, this needs a lot more care, but even with a non-preemptable 2.6 kernel it still doesn't work, so there's more to it. > I've got the time and determination to get it working, but if you could > help me narrow down my R&D focus to pinpoint the problem, I'd greatly > appreciate it. > > Otherwise, I was going to reconstruct the FATX support from scratch, based > on the FAT routines and old docs detailing the differences in the FAT > tables. That'd be a more painful route, though... :-( I started off along this route. What I tried to do was to integrate the FATX code into the fat/vfat driver assembly - half the work of the existing patch appears to have been a s/fat/fatx effort - which hardly seems a particularly good use of time. However, the fat driver is a can of worms, in my opinion, and I quickly lost sight of the big picture. Perhaps you'll have more luck :) David > > -Lalee > > > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.Net email is sponsored by: IntelliVIEW -- Interactive Reporting > Tool for open source databases.
