Thanks for the reply.  I posted it in this group instead of user because I 
think it involves modifying source code and recompiling the kernel.  I 
thought this might be something useful that other people might use as well 
and that the people who maintain the kernel for xbox could help.  It could 
be as small as a 6 line change.
