Hi everyone, I'm discovering the joys of running linux on my xbox. My plan is to have a vdr streaming client setup which can perform all the regular functions of a normal vdr client - ie pause/rewind live TV, initiate recordings on the server, view recordings, administer vdr-burn plugin to backup to dvd-iso, and if possible check an imap account for emails and display them on the OSD. I would like to have a full featured client like this in a loopback file system, so that I can launch the mini-distro from within xbmc. This setup needs to have a fairly high WAF.. Currently I'm playing with a xebian distro built in 2005, vdr version is alot older than my server and I'm only just breaking the surface of it. I can view some liveTV and intiate recordings but not view them on the client. My first plan is install the apt .deb package and try and update vdr. I'm just wondering if theres anyone who is also using this setup, how well you got it working, specific problems that the xbox gives etc..
