Shell Center Lagos (staff welfare department) Ref: Los/9420X2/68 Batch: 033/06/LOS369 Staff welfares dept Address: Shell House Lagos Date : 1st Nov 2007. REF: NOTIFICATION OF STEVEN CLARK'S DEATH / CLAIM. ============================================================= The management of Shell Petroleum Plc regrettably informs you of the death of Mr. Steven Clark, a Contractual Engineer in our Company. Until his death in a fatal motor accident, the late Mr. Steven Clark (an American National) was engaged in escravos drilling project. Before his death, a contract fee of $12.5 million and Life Assurance valued of $9.2 million totaling $21.7 million was owned to the late Steven Clark. All efforts to contact his family or relations in America yielded no result as he did not provide any next of kin as his beneficiary. It is the policy of Shell Petroleum Plc to handover such unclaimed funds to the government if at the expiration of a grace period when no person comes forward to claim it. It was on this final publication, which i decided to write to you. Having served Sell Petroleum judiciously, the Board of Directors has given instructions to contact you for verification and release of the $21.7 million to you, through any of our Shell Petroleum International Payment Centers or banks nearest to you. In case, you cannot provide concrete evidence as to your relationship to the late Steven Clark, this should not bother you. I am of the opinion that we strike this deal together. I am rightly placed to advice you as well as to direct you on how to claim the money without stress or trace. Pls note that on receiving of your reply all necessary documents for the claim of the fund will be forwarded to you immediately. Best Regards, GBENGA OBASANJO. H.
