Probably for you the best is something like HP's Business Inkjet series.
They have a built-in 150-sheet tray and one can add a 250-sheet tray,
which gives you space for 400 normal sheets and probably still 200
sheets of thick paper. As these inkjets support photo paper, they should
also support your thick paper (but not glass, the material must still be
flexible). In addition they have separately changeable ink cartridges
and print heads, not 3-ink all-in-one cartridges as the DeskJet and PSC
models.

At Epson you could perhaps find something with a big tray if you look at
the A2-sized Epson Stylus Pro models (The bigger devices are roll-fed).
