Hi all,

We're in the process of upgrading all our systems from Fedora Core 3 to Fedora
Core 5. This also involves going from foomatic 3.0.2-13.4 to 3.0.2-33.3.

This seems to have introduced an error when testing foomatic with a local
printer (an HP Deskjet 400). Just to give a small bit of background, our
printing system uses LPRng for spooling and foomatic as the filter for certain
types of printers (typically locally attached ones).

The printcap is...

dj400|Test Queue|HP DeskJet 400|My Office:
    :ppd=/etc/foomatic/lpd/dj400.ppd:
    :lf=/var/log/lp-errs:
    :sd=/var/spool/lpd/dj400:
    :lp=/dev/lp0:
    :if=/usr/bin/foomatic-rip:
    :sh:
    :force_localhost:
    :mx=0:

and was configured with the command...

/usr/bin/foomatic-configure -q -n dj400 -N "Test Queue" -L "My Office" -d
"hpijs" -p "HP-DeskJet_400" -c "file:/dev/lp0" -s "lprng"  -o
"PrintoutMode=Draft.Gray"  -o "PageSize=A4"

This exact same setup worked OK under FC3/foomatic-3.0.2-13.4.	Now, however it
fails to print anything and gives the following output...

renderer command: gs -q -dBATCH -dPARANOIDSAFER -dQUIET -dNOPAUSE -sDEVICE=ijs

sIjsServer=hpijs -sDeviceManufacturer="HEWLETT-PACKARD" -sDeviceModel="DESKJET

If I run the above gs commands by hand (both the original and the one generated
by foomatic-gswrapper) it works fine and sends valid printable pcl to stdout.

I'd be very grateful if anybody could shed any light on this.

Cheers
