Point of Sale Dot-Matrix printer to work with CUPS?

Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone knows of any dot-matrix POS printer for which there are
CUPS drivers? Due to our development environment we have to use CUPS to print
to such printer (to print some graphics). We need 2-4" inch paper printer that
will be light and embeddable. 
At this point it seems that only STAR offers any printer with CUPS drivers,
however only Thermal printers are supported.

I have tried Epson M-260 printer with several drivers found on this page with
little success, however I might had done something wrong... I would really
appreciate any comments.
