CX5200 on Suse

hi, I'm a noobie on linux, trying out something better for my computer,
nad I do have an Epson CX5200, I'm following the steps on
http://www.linuxprinting.org/pipermail/epson-list/2003q1/002394.html

I'm successfull till the downloading of pips and cups, but from there
it's this what happens: when I try to logon to 127.0.0.1:631:admin the
browser ask me for an user and pwd, I enter my user/pwd or root/pwd, and
it deos not go anywhere...
I noticed some missing dependencies to install the pips RPM's, but I
forced the install w/ --nodeps --force 

help...
