need help on supported printers

Hi, I am about to get a printer. I want it to work with linux. I almost got a ip2000 but it seems like difficult or expensive to get a driver that supports this printer. Is there a printer brand that is well supported for linux. If someone want to recomend a printer that would be great. I will not print that much so speed does not matter. Instead it would be nice to print photos with good quality from time to time... (At the moment I am considering HP Photosmart 8050 as it seems to be supported by HILIP package http://hplip.sourceforge.net/) //Jesper
