Uh...Lisp Machines (both Symbolics and LMI/CADR) had Zmail IIRC.  Rmail was later written (and I had
a hand in it for a while in the mid 1980's) for GNU Emacs.  Rmail (which I used until quite
recently) is more based on Babyl (at least interface-wise) than Zmail.
