Brother has a driver installer that works extremely well if you remove 
cups-browsed
as it won't allow the brother drivers to be used. It works well here on 
my home network,
and my rpi4, and a pair of rock64's, all armhf or arm64's can all use my 
2 printers. The
big one just happens to be the same as yours.

This is a 6 core i5 machine, so I can't say if they have drivers for 
arm's. But my arm stuff
can see, and use either printer. Just as if it was local to that machine.
