I'd prefer to just get rid of it altogether.  There's a lot of cruft in=20
this codebase for platforms that haven't been relevant for at least a=20
decade, and I don't want keep carrying the maintenance burden.

Yeah, it is a ton of work; it's not the GIMP-specific bits that are a=20
problem (though we do need to add in GEGL awareness to handle higher bit=20
depths) but rather the GTK2-based UI library that first needs to be=20
ported to GTK3 before the plugin itself can be ported.
