By some funny coincidence, I came across the SEGV with a non-displayable
process bug you recently fixed.  I was using prctl-emoji to test that the
UTF stuff was working but was looking in the help screen and was using the
Debian 3.3.16 top not the one in the build directory.  Exiting the help
screen after the process exited made top SEGV.

Happy to report the top in both master and newlib don't do this. Funny how
something that has been there for a decade got tripped up by two different
people in a matter of a few weeks. I wasn't trying to crash top, just
checking it did UTF-8 ok.
