Hey Justin

Thanks for taking time to help me out :)

When issuing lpd on the command line I get a fatal error stating that its
already started and has process id 584. So its running.
Trying lpc restart all doesnt work, since restart is not a valid command I
guess.
But a lpc start all give me back the printername on a new line....

Do I have to do anything with lpd.conf and lpd.perms ? Or can I ignore these
?

Also...when I copied in the files lpd and lpc as stated in the howto, I also
had to supply some library files and such to make it work.
I assume you didn't mention this because it was obvious you had to do that
:)

Regards,

Einar

Hi Einar,

I believe the howto is complete, of course it's possible that i may have
missed something. The next step really is to do a few more tests. That you
can get output by sending data directly to the USB dev entry (/dev/usb/lp0)
is a good start. Next i would ensure that the lpd daemon has started
sucessfully. What output do you get when you do a 'lpd' on the command line
manually? How bout when you do 'lpc restart all'?
