I just got your message after the holiday.  Here's a brief summary of our
set up and how it was achieved:

1. PXES 0.7 installed on a RedHat 9 desktop.

2. TFTP32 installed on a Windows2000 server. Additional configuration as
detailed in the "MS-Only Environment" HOWTO at http://pxes.sourceforge.net  

3. PXES configuration to your taste.  We use the newer Xfree so that almost
everything is auto-detected.  Sound was resolved with PXES 0.7.  Make sure
you create the NBI.  Copy everything in the /tftpboot/pxes directory to the
c:\tftpdroot\pxes directory on your DHCP server.

4. Got the DOS Etherboot file for our network card (Realtek) from
www.rom-o-matic.net  We renamed it "realtek.com"

5. Got hold of a Windows 98 boot disk.  Copied "realtek.com" onto it.

6. Changed the "AUTOEXEC.BAT" file on this disk so that it contains this:

   echo off
   format c: /q/u/s
   copy autoex~1.* c:\autoexec.bat
   copy realtek.com c:\.

7. Created a file on the same disk called "autoexec.realtek" which contains
this:

   realtek.com

8. Booted off the floppy disk on machine to be made into thin client, allow
format.  That's it! Reboot, you have a thin client.

Make other floppies for different network cards if you have any (we have
some D-Link too), or write some DOS script prompting for which card you
have.

I've also come up with a clunky solution for gaining local floppy and CD-ROM
access on ICA if anyone's interested.  We couldn't figure out how to change
the A: map from the server but have solved it another way.

I've seen than you have some cliënts using PXES that boot from DOS. Could
you give me some practical information how to set up such a thing. What
about IP-adressing, names,... and so on.
