mmm was thinking that also, but after several retries it boots and my X 
session work well all day long.

I have 1 windows 2000 server doing dhcp and 1 RH9 doing bootp and tftp.
The client gets an initial address+image filename from the bootp server 
and then loads the image from it.

The win2k server gives it the same address via dhcp in the later boot 
process. Unfortunately I have no access to the win2k box. I am 
(luckily) limited to the RH9 box :-)

Would be better to use pxe from RH9 instead of the bootp/tftp duo?
Only thing is that my client hardware does not allow pxe booting... but 
I think having heard that one can create a pxe boot floppy... Ill try 
that. Or do you see any potential error source from my setup?
