Re: Launching a Script at runtime in X?

I think its a win console app...not sure. I launch it from a dos prompt
on my 2k machine, but the "core" uses openGL to render out the pictures.
But this is'nt really the problem, I have the software working. The 
problem
is I cant automate it. Booting the thin  client with a monitor and 
keyboard allows
me to launch my script from a terminal window in xfree86 local sesssion 
and it runs.
In the final set up there will be 10 diskless thin clients running 
without monitors
keyboards or mice, just power cord and ethernet cable. So I have to set 
it up so
hitting the power button is all thats required. I thought I could 
simply attach my
script to the end of the rcS file but then realized that it needed to 
access the X11
display so thats no good. My question is there something im 
overlooking? maybe a
user level init somewhere that would allow me to have a terminal window 
open
in X11 at start and run my script?
