Turns out the packaging process removed the execute bits. There's a number
of options available to me:
- use dpkg-statoverride to set owner/perm overrides on a *per file* basis
(no thanks)
- tar up the dist directory and untar it on installation (postinst script)
- bulk modify the owner/perms (postinst script)
I think this is the best option, you can extract the owner/perm for
every file in PXES and create the postinst script.
- tell pxesconfig to extract a tar file to a temporary location while
creating an image (preferred, as there's no problems with Debian policy
that way - allows us to package the device files too).
What are your thoughts?
