Saw your posts on implementing PXES on Gmane. I am implementing pxes 0.5.1
with W2K and ICA 6.3 (citrix XP) and cannot for the life of me work out how
to give local floppy access.
Any info you can give would be great

I don't know what Gmane is! However we do have W2K and ICA. I would
*really* recommend upgrading your PXES to the latest installment (0.7), it
solves a *lot* of problems with monitors, sound etc.
With regard to your problem with floppy disk access, the thing to remember
is that the floppy on the server is the A: drive, and the floppy on the
client is \\Client\A$ (this seems to be case sensitive). We haven't been
able to "un-map" the server A: drive (a real bugbear). However I was able
to browse to \\Client\A$ from a hyperlink. So I created a small HTML file
that when opened, immediately redirects you to \\Client\A$, thus opening an
Explorer window containing the Client A drive contents. I put this file on
the desktop of all users and changed the icon to look like a floppy disk.
It's not ideal as you can't save directly to it. You could try mapping a
drive to \\Client\A$ but the policy restrictions we set in place stop us
doing that (They also stop us typing \\Client\A$ into the address bar).
If you're struggling with the HTML file, it doesn't really need to be more
than this:

You can repeat the process for CDROM access, (and probably HDD, though we
haven't tried that as we are using the HDD to boot to PXES). The default
map for the CDROM drive is C, but you can change it in the ICA client
config.
