Sounds like your tftp server is porky... Can you try another tftpd ?  I
found several windows ones that sucked badly... But the tftpd and tftpd-hpa
servers that debian packages were perfect.  I've bought
http://www.winagents.com/en/products/tftp-server/ and it works perfectly
(and fast)  Theres a free trial time too

Not sure on this one sorry - I use a ms termserv so not sure.  However when
I was testing I could boot the CD version and connected to a linux or a
solaris box without a problem.
