Sure,

I cannot take credit for it, however, I swiped it from a Knoppix disk :0). 

I will include a copy, or you can just look at what knoppix does for it.

If I rely upon the standard pxes Xf86config-4, I only get 800x600 with a awful 
refresh rate.  Using this new one, I get 1024x768 with about a 72 or 75 
refresh -- much more tollerable.

The good news is that it is configuring my ATI cards better than the previous 
pxes scripts.  The two cards it has a hard time with are the virge and the 
i810 -- Although these are better too.  It used to just crash-out with these 
cards, now it gets 800x600 with ~60 refresh -- so at least that is 
something :0).

But -- I would really appreciate some advice on how I can get this working 
again.  It just will not let me write to the filesystem on the thin client -- 
even with the remount,rw.  There must be some trick that can be employed...
