I suppose that you meen the remote configuration possibility. The difference 
to a static one is that the configuration file is not locatet at the clients 
root filesystem. It is serverbased. I can't see any reason that it don't 
work. And generally: all the runtime stuff is locatet at a ram disc, not on 
your cd.
