LTSP compatibility module: cannot find the init.new executable

Hi:
I'm using a Debian Sarge server to configure PXES 0.9.
It serves the initrd file with dhcp3 and atftpd. The
thin clients can easily connect with a Windows 2003
Terminal Server.

Now I need one step forward: most of our applications
need a web browser, and a solution could be using PXES
(starting up the clients) and LTSP (running the browser).

After reading some howtos and mailing lists, I get the
following:
- All the NICs are PXE compatible.
	They boot from pxelinux.0.
- The server file /tftpboot/pxelinux.cfg/default contains
	kernel pxes/vmlinuz-2.4.20-12pxes.i586
	append ramdisk_size=16384 rw initrd=pxes/pxes-0.9.initrd
  I removed the "root=/dev/ram" to avoid
	"/dev/ram is not a valid block device"
  	I also tried "root=/"
- The initrd generated with pxesconfig contains only the
	LTSP/K12LTSP client. The LTSP server is set at build time.
- LTSP 4.0 is installed.
	nfs seems to work (rcpinfo and log messages are ok).

The problem begins here: when the client boots up, after the
initializing messages from mice and NIC, two dots appear (..),
and after the following lines are displayed:

"umount: /proc Device or resource busy"
various "/etc/init.d/rcS: 670 : [ not found"
"Error -w Cannot find the init.new executable"
"Perhaps you forgot to install the PXES-LTSP package on the server"
more "[ not found" lines
"Error -w mounting myserver:/opt/ltsp/i386"
more "[ not found" lines
And, until the PC is powered down, lines with
"Bummer, could not run '/bin/startsession': No such file or directory"

Since there's no Debian packages for PXES-LTSP, I used the .tar.gz
from 0.7 version. I copied "init.new" in both
/opt/pxes-0.9/stock/dist/usr/bin and sbin.
I also copied "init.new" in "ltsp/i386/usr/bin" and sbin.
I know that some links are also required, but I don't know exactly
who they are (something about modules, but I dont know if they must
be in the "dist" directory or in the "ltsp" directory).

No luck. The same error messages.

Then, I analized the /opt/pxes-0.9/stock/dist/etc/init.d/rcS file
and found that the problematic line was "mount_root $R", in the LTSP
configuration section.

I don't know how to fix it up.

Any idea ?
Where can I found specific documentation on PXES-LTSP ?
