Diego Torres Milano <[email protected]> wrote: > PXES Universal Linux Thin Client Project: Wishlist ICA / Citrix environments often use Thinprint (www.thinprint.com) for printing. The server is payware but the client can be downloaded freely from their web site (just like ICA). The Thinprint client replaces lpd or lp-server, basically. What needs to be done is start the client (/usr/bin/thnuclnt) in /etc/rc.d/rcS instead of lpd. Works just fine. There are just two things to be done: - add /usr/bin/thnuclnt and its config file /etc/thinprintrc to the stock or extra dir tree (simple, just copy them over, like with the ICA client itself) - add some logic on pxesconfig to a) enable thinprint and b) to configure thinprintrc. Did that mod for a customer, and he's perfectly happy with his 560+ clients. He's just stuck with the current version because the next PXES upgrade will require another mod... -- "I like your game but we have to change the rules." ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
