PXES RDP Speed

We have been using PXES for quite a while. Recently, we have begun
converting some users from using the Microsoft RDP client on top of
Windows XP, to straight PXES computers.

For the most part, this is going really well. Our main problem of the
moment is speed.

When accessing the Terminal Server (Windows 2003, 16 bit color) the
screen refreshes much more slowly than it does with a full operating
system running underneath. This makes browsing the web, or scrolling a
document, a bit painful.

When using the MS RDP client, you almost can't tell you're using
terminal services. When using PXES, there is often a noticeable delay.

Has anyone else experienced a similar problem?

Does anyone know if there is anything we can do about it?
